The Ask an Expert Forum is intended to be a place where students can go to find answers to science questions that they have been unable to find using other resources. If you have specific questions about your science fair project or science fair, our team of volunteer scientists can help. Our Experts won't do the work for you, but they will make suggestions, offer guidance, and help you troubleshoot.

New to Ask an Expert?

If you have never used the Ask an Expert Forums before, please:

  1. Spend a few minutes reviewing the Ask an Expert Guidelines so that you are aware of important Do's and Don'ts in the Ask an Expert forums.
  2. Be aware that Ask an Expert is not designed for immediate response to questions. Our Experts do try and respond to questions within 24 hours.
  3. Search in the Ask an Expert forums using key terms related to your question or project. Your science question may have already been answered, and you may find other helpful information relevant to your project.
  4. Remember that no personal information (including email addresses) should be exchanged at Ask an Expert and all communications must remain within the Ask an Expert forums.
  5. Register for a free Ask an Expert account to post your own science project questions.
